Description
Original K-Tel Record selector from the 1970's.
If you are too young to have seen the ads for this back in their day, then you have definitely missed out.
Record rack made of plastic (brown and beige of course). The idea was that you tipped the first one forward, and the rest would follow like dominos until you found the one you wanted, and you could then stop it and grab the LP - ideally, something like K-Tel Top 30 Hits from 1974.
Then when you wanted to put the LP back, the item magically stopped at the vacant place.
This item is intact but is missing the two plastic uprights at the back that slotted into the L-shaped slots and supported the LPs at the back. These appear to have gone to god at some stage. You could fashion replacements, or place the unit up against a wall or something so that the LPs had something to lean back against.
No cracks or other damage.
You very rarely ever see these any more, so this is a very rare opportunity to pick up something that should be in a museum.
