Description
K-Tels (Young Canadians) 7”
Beauty record, eh? This is the original first-pressing of the K-Tels recorded debut. You know the story on these guys, right? Issued this on Vancouver-based punk rock indie Quintessence Records (later, Zulu) the band got a cease-and-desist order to stop using their nom-de-plume and…
Went to fuggin’ Hawaii, came back, and became The Young Canadians. Tight three-piece punk rock! Art Bergmann! Heroin! East Hastings! Smilin’ Buddah! All that crap!
Three songs on this slice-of-heaven: Automan, Don’t Tell Me, Where Are You?
No sleeve. Vinyl is in excellent condition. Near-o mint-o, you-know-oh. No scratches or scuffs, the only thing my eyes see is a so-slight indentation that looks to be from the actual vinyl pressing, and not a part of a human-caused cafuddle. Record is also sans the "Young Canadians" stamp on the b-side label either, so you know it's one of the early copies. Even the hole looks almost virgin!
(Oh, and as a bonus, I’m throwing in an original copy of The Viletones 5-song debut EP “Look Back in Anger.” This thing, unlike the K-Tels rec in many many ways, is very very scratched. It’d be a crime to ask anything resembling money for it (so don’t ask for it separately, Jack). Side 1 is pretty much unplayable. Side 2 is playable, but only if you like the hops, skips, and jumps of a beaten to the ground punk classic. So you buy the good record and you get this for free. Oh, Canada!)
*As well, I’m going to be putting up the original NY N*GGERS 7” (which I can't spell in its proper, race-baiting form, as it conflicts with eBay's tightassedness) in the upcoming week, so be on the lookout for that. Its condition is VG and uh, it’s SIGNED by one of the guys (It’s addressed to a chick! You get to find out what the L. in L. Faison stands for! Oh boy!). I ain’t no Killed By Death freak in any stretch of the imagination, so try not to bombard me questions until I put up all the info next week (markings, shape, where I found the record, etc.). Tell your friends!
