If you haven’t heard Kyrie Eleison’s The Fountain Beyond the Sunrise LP and you’re a fan of Genesis, specifically their Nursery Cryme/Foxtrot period, you’re in for a real treat!  Fountain Beyond the Sunrise is clearly inspired by Genesis and by other British bands from prog rock’s golden era and includes all the right instrumentation: 12-string guitar, electric guitar, Mellotron, synths, organ, bass pedals, etc.  This is a rare record, but it’s a very worthwhile purchase for those who love symphonic prog rock (so, yes, the music does “match” the cover art).  Originally privately released in Austria on Merlin Records in 1977 (the keyboardist says the album was recorded in late 1976 but didn’t come out until January 1977, despite the 1976 date on the LP label), this may be a second pressing, which apparently is pretty much identical to the first.  Includes two inserts, one of which is a gatefold sheet.  The cover is in Ex--- and the record is in M--- condition.  (Click on the “me” icon above for info on my grading system.)  For an album by Indigo (formed by two Kyrie Eleison members after the band broke up), see my other auctions.
