Here we have the only incredibly rare and highly sought copy of Kak. The condition is M/NM, I am not exaggerating. The original buyer bought this on 5/12/69, listened once and has been archived ever since. Of course I had to give it an entire listen myself and it is most definitely a Mint copy. Not even a sealed copy would play better. Guaranteed!

MEGA SOUGHT AFTER and RARE ... the Original 1969 first pressing that seldom is found ... there was only one pressing back 46 years ago, one of the great, legendary West Coast psychedelic albums ... here is a survivor copy with MINT vinyl

The only recorded album by legendary psychedelic group Kak, released in 1969 on Epic Records. The album delivers a good amount of awesome west coast acid rock with some psych folk overtones included, reminiscent of Moby Grape, Quicksilver Messenger Service, Savage Resurrection, and Tripsichord, the fuzz-wah guitar is outstanding, some fuzz bass is included here as well, and the vocals are really well executed making for a solid album. Although formed in Davis, California, Kak were based in San Francisco for a good part of 1968, when they recorded their only album. Lead singer, guitarist, and primary songwriter Gary Lee Yoder and lead guitarist Dehner Patten had been in the Oxford Circle, an obscure early Northern Californian psychedelic band that had cut one garage/psych single ("Foolish Woman"/"Mind Destruction") and played some shows on the San Francisco psychedelic circuit, while bassist Joe-Dave Damrell had been on a 1965 single on Scorpio Records with Group "B".

The LP is pure San Francisco acid rock. The double fuzzed out guitars are very similar to Quicksilver Messenger service and the band and LP fits in perfectly with the rest of the west coast big boys. Too bad they only released one LP. There was only one pressing of this LP in 1969 on the yellow Epic labels with the matrix numbers being;

Epic did release one reissue in the 80s, but on the newer black Epic labels.

Record - Dead Mint, I know, it's opened but it is the correct description. No marks of any kind, no signs of use at all. The sound quality is the same as a sealed copy. Zero noise of any kind.

Cover - The cover is also nearly new rated at NM. There are no defects, no writing, holes, cuts, splits and the spine is perfect. All 4 corners are perfectly square. Again, as clean as you would find a sealed copy.

Labels - Again the labels look factory fresh. No fading and absolutely no spindle marks of any kind. Looks like it was never played, but I know it was played twice, once by me.

This LP is definitely a holy Grail LP and is one of my top LPs in top condition. I guarantee a better copy just cannot be found. This is your chance.
