Description
Kaleidoscope Faintly Blowing Original Uk Fontana LP STL5491 1969 Psych Mega Rare.
This is the first U.K. pressing of this rare album.
The sleeve is a later version or perhaps promo version - it still has all the original details - but it is not laminated. It is in excellent condition.
The record is an original promo copy with the remains of a factory sample sticker on side two label.. These were used for promotional purposes, so it would seem this is one of the earliest pressings of this album. The matrix numbers are stamped and not etched. The vinyl is 100% first pressing
Run outs look like -
Matrix / Runout (machine type): side 1 886496 1Y//1 ? 420 11 3
Matrix / Runout (machine type): side 2 886496 2Y//1 ? 420 11 2
P next to the date is circled. Reissues have the p brackets. The labels are clean without writing - please study photos.
The vinyl is very good condition. It has a mark on ‘black fjord’ - the poetry piece on the album. It does click on each revolution for some of the track but otherwise the record plays really excellent with little to no surface noise.
There is no watermark or haze on the record on either side. Almost every copy I’ve seen does have haze which is audible. This one doesn’t have it on either side. Very rare.
A incredibly rare album and a good copy for any collection.
Priced realistically.
