Description
For sale is Kansas' Leftoverture, originally released by Kirshner Records in 1976 as a double album in a gate-fold presentation. In the dead wax between the label and the last track is stamped "Sterling", signifying that this was mastered at Sterling Sounds, N.Y.C., a state-of-the-art facility for pressing albums, known for their excellent clarity and superb sound quality. Following that are the pressing matrix numbers: Disc 1 has numbers 1-B/1-A and Disc 2 has numbers 1-D/1-A. This means that an early stamper was used to make this record and accounts for the superior sound quality. I bought this record used, played it and immediately put it away into a new inner sleeve. I always put all my records directly into a protective inner sleeve(s), thus preserving the integrity of the insert(s) and the original inner sleeve(s). The inner sleeves are Excellent with a bent corner on one of them. The vinyl is Near Mint. The cover is graded as Excellent because of mild ring wear, corner rubs and stress cracks along the spine. The spine has a little color loss because of these stress cracks and corner rubs. Since I owned this record, it's been played only on Audiophile equipment and still has a lot of life yet. This would make a great addition to anyone's collection. I have more albums listed in my Ebay store. Please take a look. They're almost all Near Mint. Thank you for viewing my listing. Over the years I've used Dust Bugs, Disc Washers and have finally invested in a professional VPI record cleaning machine. Now that I'm retiring, I'm selling my very esoteric collection. I'm not a professional grader of records, but will use record guides, as well as my personal experiences as a basis of my grading all records. Since grading is subjective, I will be conservative.
