To the reviewer below, it seems you are mixing up L.S.D with Drum Trip II. The track with the beeps is L.S.D, the tracks with the "Do it now kid, do it now get ill" sample is drum trip II, a remix of the track Drum Trip from the "5 in one night" EP from 1991 (Shadow 005). I don't rate any of the tracks on this EP as any kind of breakthrough or standard within the DnB scene. They are good tracks, but nothing new or remarkable at the time. Just a continuation of the Kaotic chemistry / 2 bad mice strictly drum and bass sound of tunes like waremouse, 2 bad mice and the afore mentioned drum trip. Those tunes are the true prototypes.

I really cant believe no one has ever commented on this record.
This is a piece of true-skool DnB history. What you have here is a serious peice of breakbeat hardcore. Not the usual happy stuff of the era. This is proto-jungle at its finest.
And every tune on this is grade a and playable. I remember most DJ;s having 2 copies so they could mix the tunes together since every tune was so playable.
Spacecakes: With that bassline, the crazy breakbeat, the beatbox breakdown, the beastie boys sample and the "People of Rythym!"
Drumtrip II: the beeps man. The beeps and it loops at the end. I used to smash the hell out of this tune. The first time I heard it, I thought some DJ had a tone record and a breakbeat loop. Seriously.
The other songs are classics in there own right. I dont feel like typing anymore, but this record goes down in history as a true classic and influential record. It's just as important as Goldies Saint Angel, Crstl's Warp Drive, Ed Rush and Opticals Wormhole.
This isnt your standard 1992 chipmunk/piano happy vibes. This is straight up DnB in its infacy.
Just ask ANY dj, be them house, techno whatever if they were playing in '92, they had this record in the bin, man.
Dont take my word for it. Randall's newly posted J-Tek set opens up with it. ;) Plus, Dom and Roland did a remix one of the tunes around the time Shy FX's bambatta was on dub.
