A Gunter Hermanns recording of note, this is DGG’s original US release of Karajan and the Berlin playing Beethoven’s SYMPHONIES 8 & 9, the 9th of particular note.
With wonderful support from Gundula Janowitz, Hilde Rossel-Majdan, Waldemar Kmentt, and Walter Berry, it is one of the very finest on LP, released in a Tulips edition on this side of the Pond by Rca, housed in a textured box. Very smart and handsome.
Save for a mark on Symphony 8, which may tic briefly, the rest of the way should be clear sailing and near mint. (Note, that I have enclosed a third LP, the German pressing of the same performance, so you have a clean second movement. I myself prefer the Rca pressing, do know.)
A beautiful edition, that easily reminds one that the playing of a record has a touch of ceremony to it.
Not to be missed. (Rivals Solti’s. And won the Grand Prix du Disque the year of its release.)

Boxes over 4 lbs., add another $6, because First Class is no longer available at that weight, just Priority Mail. Note, too, boxed sets of LPs require more postage.
