This is the 1955 La Scala performance of Puccini’s MADAMA BUTTERFLY, with Karajan at baton and Maria Callas in the lead role.  Others in the cast include Lucia Danieli, Nicolai Gedda, Luisa Villa, Mario Borriello, Renato Ercolani, Mario Carlin, and Plinio Clabassi.

A classic 3LP edition from Angel, here in a box without fault, booklet is just fine, and all three Blue-Label heavy platters  will play near mint.

Very well kept, rare set.

Shipping and handling is $5 for up to 5 LPs shipped within the States. Internationally, $15 via airmail for the first LP, $3 each thereafter. (Canada is half that.) Boxes over 4 lbs., add another $6, because First Class is no longer available at that weight, just Priority Mail. Note, too, boxed sets of LPs require more postage.
