ITEM DESCRIPTION:
This beautiful LP – here in its most desirable pressing – from Deutsche Grammophon (SLPM 138 732, German pressing, red stereo heavy cardboard jacket, AH large tulip label, stereo, original inner sleeve included) features Karl Richter and the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra’s buoyant and ebullient accounts of Haydn’s Symphonies No. 94 in G Major “Surprise” and No. 101 in D Major “Clock”, recorded on 17/18 March 1961 at Jesus-Christus-Kirche, Berlin.
CONDITION:
The gradations of condition I use are as follows: MINT, Near-Mint, Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor.
The condition of the heavy cardboard jacket is EXCELLENT. There is a small surface cut to the lower-right corner, as well as some some discoloration, but that is all. Otherwise, the album appears almost as new. There are no seamsplits, bends, or owners' markings and the album remains solid, bright, and very striking in appearance – overall, a superb collector's copy.
The condition of the LP itself is EXCELLENT. The surfaces are not always CD silent, but in general the playback is superb – overall, an excellent collector's copy.
