God bless Conrad Johnson. This is one of, if not, the best LP in the Kashmere Stage Band catalogue.
"Thundersoul" starts off with a heavy break and when the anthemic horn line comes in, it gets even heavier. "Kashmere" is of course the collector's highlight as it was comped for Funky 16 Corners and sampled for "Bear Witness" by Handsome Boy Modeling School. Just 4 minutes of breakbeat bliss. "Don't Mean A Thing" continues in the same vein as "Do You Dig It, Man?" which are both swinging numbers with a funky backbone. The album just keeps on delivering in the form of "Head Wiggle" which is a straight up funk track a la JB's with a repetitive guitar line and chorus that just won't quit.
Superb album in superb condition.
