Description

"Amiga" - Kate Bush
A real curiosity this, and unaccountably rare. It takes its name (wrongly) from the East German "Amiga" label name, and is essentially an early "best of" album. As the Illustrated Collectors Guide to Kate Bush states, "Regardless of origin it is extemely rare and collectable." (see picture)

Side 1: Babooshka / Delius (Song of Summer) / Moving (Saxophone Song) / Hammer Horror / Wuthering Heights
Side 2: Don't Push Your Foot on the Heartbrake / The Kick Inside / Violin / The Infant Kiss/Night Scented Stock / Army Dreamers / L'Amour Looks Something Like You (live version)

There was a suggestion that this might be a botleg, but Amiga appears to have been a genuine label (the former pop sub-label of Deutsche Schallplatten Berlin, was sold to BMG National Berlin in 1994), so the EMI license is obviously genuine. (They also produced this on cassette.) The printing of the cover isn't great, but it is well-designed, and the quality of the disc itself is very good, and the sound reproduction is very professional.

The cover has some edgewear, marks and creases (see photos). There is evidence of label removal to the bottom corner (wrapped around the spine.) All things considered, the sleve can only be called "fair". The disc itself  has a few surface marks and scratches but is "good". I have recently played it on my Cambridge Audio turntable with a new needle and it sounds extremely good with no jumps, though a few clicks and crackles.

This will be posted in a reinforced record mailer.
