Description
Deram SDL 4 Original 1969 Press.
Recorded Live at the Marquee Club.
I would describe as Good to Very Good.
Some discolouration, due to old mildew damage, but I hope I age as well, considering this is almost 50 years old. Needs a good clean (additional pictures can be requested/ I will upload later).
Stored upright so no warping, and play fine. I am leaving the cleaning to the lucky buyer as I don't think you will be disappointed, and don't want to accidentally cause more damage. Any remaining old mildew spore can be lifted with a very weak cleaning liquid / water solution, but don't want to run the risk of getting the labels wet. It has been played a few times previously and I have tested it on a 1980's Denon, and it plays fine. Some crackle, and some superficial scuff marks can be seen (can provide further pictures at request) but I am hoping it won't disappoint any lucky bidder, and I think it is a fair price for a double album, with a gatefold sleeve, You will need some new inner sleeves once it is all cIeaned up though, and I will provide the originals. Also I think the sound can be more to do with the production values of the day, especially if you ever drift into the world of Mono recordings, and how good your stereo is. I've a Dennon DD450, which has an anti skate mechanism which can be adjusted, so no real problems. I am providing lots of detail so as to not disappoint. I would describe this as Good to Very Good. Depends how good your stereo, and how critical you are. I don't mind a bit of background noise, rather than a fully cleaned up CD version. It's why we love vinyl.
I will provide new inner sleeves, and the originals. Not much point in cleaning them up, and putting them back in the old sleeves really.
Worth a punt for Christmas for the Vinyl Prog Rock Lovers out there. Will provide protectively boxed, so this may slightly slow delivery as will want to ensure they are couriered with insurance to ensure no mishap during delivery. International Posting will depend on location so will adjust accordingly as I've just provided a guessed amount.
I have guessed the postage depending on location. Will refund any difference. I generally prefer 2nd class couriered, with insurance, but Ebay seems to give only limited options delivery wise. Can discuss this more when you win.
Happy Bidding.
