Description
This is Blue Note Records BLP 1597, Kenny Burrell Blue Lights Volume 2, a blue and white microgroove label mono Liberty issue of this great jam session record featuring Tina Briooks, Junior Cook, Louis Smith and many more. There is RVG stamped on the dead wax. There is the 47 West 63rd St. New York 23 address on the back cover. The record is in near mint condition showing almost no signs of wear and playing quietly throughout. Because this is a mono issue, the famous Andy Warhol sketch is in proper perspective, framed completely, not cut off or truncated as it is on the stereo issues. It is also in the original pink. There is some clear tape on the top seam and a small bump on the bottom right.. The labels are excellent. The record was cleaned on a VPI 17 and played on a Linn Sondek LP12. Of course the address on the back reads the standard West 61st. St, not west 63rdSt. This should be clear on the enlarged back cover photo. Sorry for the mistake.
