Description
This is Blue Note 1535 Kenny Dorham Afro-Cuban, a deep groove, 767 Lexington Ave, original issue with RVG and the ear squiggle in the dead wax. The record looks VG with some marks on either side, however, it plays a strong VG+. Side 1 has some light crackle on the quiet track 2 (Lotus Flower) which can also be heard between tracks , and a small amount of high end break up (about 5 seconds) on the 1st track (Afrodisia). The first track on side 2 (KD's Motion) has two moments where a light tick can be heard, but otherwise the side (and the whole record) plays quietly. The cover has a 7" split on the bottom seam but is otherwise unblemished and intact (see photos). The label has a little staining, but nothing else (again, see photo). Overall, a remarkable "play" copy of this wonderful original Blue Note. The record was cleaned on a VPI 17 and played on a Linn Sondek LP12. This is part of a jazz and blues collection I will be posting in the next few days. Please check our other listings as we discount shipping on multiple orders. Thanks.
