Be sure to look at my other auctions!  I have many great titles for sale this week.

Artist: Kenny Dorham
Title: Jazz Contrasts
Label/Catalog #: Riverside RLP 12-239
Mono/Stereo: Mono
Details:  First pressing. White labels and deep groove. Comes with the original glassine inner sleeve it was issued with. Ultrasonic cleaned.

Record condition: Side 1 is NM. Side 2 has a couple tiny, tiny scratches at the end of track 1 and beginning of track 2 which cannot be felt by fingertip, otherwise NM as well. Both sides show a completely full gloss, extremely clean grooves. Play graded in full. Side 1 plays NM, essentially perfect! The mentioned scratches on side 2 make some lightly heard ticks, never for long and not loudly. The rest of side 2 plays EX to NM throughout. A fantastic copy that will please nearly all listeners!

Cover:  VG++. Not far from NM-. Front looks nearly perfect, mild age toning on back. Seams are perfect other than tiny wear on upper corner. Marvelous set!

Labels: See photos

Record Grading Scale:

M-  ESSENTIALLY A BRAND NEW RECORD, BUT HAS BEEN OPENED.

NM THE RECORD IS IMMACULATE, NEARLY PERFECT WITH THE SURFACE RETAINING FULL GLOSS AND NO SURFACE SCRATCHES

NM- THE RECORD SURFACE RETAINS A HIGH GLOSS, PERHAPS ONE OR TWO EXTREMELY FAINT MARKS, STILL EXTREMELY CLEAN

EX   ESSENTIALLY A NM- SOUNDING COPY, BUT MIGHT SHOW A SMALL NUMBER OF VERY FINE SURFACE MARKS.  STILL VERY CLEAN VISUALLY AND DYNAMIC AUDIBLY.

VG++ THE RECORD RETAINS MUCH OF ITS ORIGINAL SHINE, FEW LIGHT SURFACE MARKS AND OR LIGHT SCRATCHES MAY BE NOTED ON FAIRLY CLOSE EXAMINATION

VG+ THE RECORD STILL RETAINS SOME SHINE, SURFACE MARKS & SCRATCHES MAY OCCUR BUT ARE LIMITED AND TEND TO BE MODERATE TO LIGHT.  RECORD WILL PLAY VERY WELL WITH VERY LIGHT SURFACE NOISE MOSTLY HEARD DURING A QUIET PASSAGE.

VG  AVERAGE USED RECORD FROM HEAVY ROTATION, MAY HAVE STARTED TO LOSE ORIGINAL SHINE, SOME OBVIOUS SURFACE MARKS AND/OR SURFACE SCRATCHES WHICH MAY CAUSE SURFACE SOUNDS, ESPECIALLY IN SOFT PASSAGES

VG-  THE RECORD HAS BEEN PLAYED SEVERAL TIMES, THE VINYL MAY APPEAR DULL, MAY HAVE LOTS OF TINY MARKS OR SURFACE SCRATCHES WHICH MAY BE FELT, SURFACE MARKS MAY BE HEAVY AND SURFACE NOISE MAY BE NOTICEABLE THROUGHOUT
