Description
Both sides have NY USA address; 43 West 61st St. address at the bottom of the back cover. The record has the "ear" and "van gelder" inscribed in the dead wax on both sides. 4 tracks. Leader, Kenn Dorham, trumpet; Joe Henderson, tenor sax; Tommy Flanagan, piano; Richard Davis, bass; Albert "Tootie" Heath, drums.
Cover: VG Intact and clean. Light aging on the front and back cover. A small number of light soil markings on the front cover from ordinary handling and storage. Slight edge wear.
Record: VG to VG+ Visually shows light wear with several light, short surface rub marks on Side 1. Slight groove noise on the first several revolutions on Track 1, Side 1. These are barely audible. There is some faint groove noise through part of the piano and bass solos on Track 1 and a few light clicks. Most are faint but a few are more audible. There are a few additional clicks during Dorham's last chorus. There are 2 or 3 clicks at the end of Track 1,Side 2. These are barely audible. Also, 6 light clicks at the beginning of Track 2, Side 2. I have detailed the slight noise and conservatively graded the record. Overall, fine sound with the slight noise described. Audibly checked.
