Description

Kevin Ayers' first solo LP 'Joy Of A Toy'.  This is one of the two pressings made in 1969, being the one printed by Ernest J Day & Co with an unboxed green Harvest label on the record and a laminated gatefold sleeve, EMI-Harvest records catalogue number SHVL 763.  It's not clear whether this one is the first pressing as apart from the printer credit they are identical.  Either way it's definitely a 1969 version.
The record is in VG+ condition - I have tested it on my vintage Fidelity record player and it plays well, a little surface crackling & popping but this does not detract from the music (some may consider it adds to it).  The outer sleeve shows its age and has stains and discolouration.  The lamination on the sleeve means it may be possible to clean off some of the stains, if you don't think they add to the history and charm of the album!  The generic paper inner sleeve has age-related slits on each of the non-opening sides.  Please see 'Condition Description' section and photos for details.
