Texas trio Khruangbin re-recorded an updated version of their 2015 debut album. The definitive edition they wish fans would hear, ‘The Universe Smiles Upon You ii’, is now released.
Khruangbin re-recorded an updated version of their 2015 debut album, The Universe Smiles Upon You. Responding to the question, “If we could go back 10 years, what would we tell ourselves?”, they recorded using the same method, date, and location as the original version. They actively sought to create this new version, believing they are now a completely different band.
This new release is the definitive version the band wants listeners to hear and will be the main version promoted by the band going forward. They also commissioned the original artist to create new artwork.
