King Crimson are a progressive rock band. Formed in London in 1968 - the band is  widely recognised as a foundational progressive rock group.  The band have incorporated diverse influences and approaches during their five-decade history (including jazz and fold music, classical and experimental music, psychedelic rock, hard rock and heavy metal, new wave, gamelan, electronica and drum & bass) as well as balancing highly structured compositions against abstract improvisational sections and an interest in pop songs. The band has a large following, despite garnering little radio or music video airplay.  In the Q & Mojo Classic Special Edition Pink Floyd & The Story of Prog Rock, King Crimson came fourth in its list of "40 Cosmic Rock Bands/Albums". In The Court Of The Crimson King was named as one of  Classic Rock Magazine's "50 Albums That Built Prog Rock".

The term "half-speed" refers to slowing the cutting lathe to half-speed while cutting the album stamper, resulting in a more accurate and deeply etched groove that held low tones better.  The main purpose was to create clearer and better-sounding pressings of the albums. (wiki)

~ Buying "Vintage" ~ means that the vinyl has been pre-loved and pre-played ~ Rarely in perfect condition…As with any Vintage Vinyl Not Marked as MINT - you may hear faint background noise/ pops/clicks etc.

Vinyl/Jacket grading is based on the Goldmine standard: SS - Still Sealed – For the collector that requires perfection. M - Mint - a near perfect/un-played record. NM - Near Mint - in factory fresh condition, like new. EX+- close to like new with only superficial signs of use that do not affect play. EX- A used, reasonable copy. Shows slight signs of wear. VG+- There will be obvious signs of wear and the possibility a few scuffs - could include light surface noise between tracks or during quiet passages, still plays great. VG- significant wear and marks - would be noticeable - may have surface noise -still plays very well with no disruption. Good- Would only sell if the Record/Cover were Rare ~ Highly Desirable and/or Limited/Special Edition vinyl/jacket cover
