Description
I bought this album brand new when it was first released in 1982. It was a limited edition release and has been sold out for decades. I listened to it a total of 3 times on a high quality turntable with an excellent audio- technica cartridge (which I always clean with stylus cleaner before placing on a record). I always clean my records with the dishwasher record cleaning system before playing them, and this record is no exception. This record is in pristine condition, with no scratches, warping, or any other notable defects. The record sleeve has also held up remarkably well over the years, with no wear marks from being kept in my record collection stacks (always stored vertically in a bookshelf). There is one spot on the back of the jacket at the opening approximately 1/8" x 1/2" that is slightly torn ( right near the largest planet in the artwork). Also, the bottom corner on the opening side is bent a little (about 3/8" x 3/4"). Both corners on the hinged side show a very small amount of wear, as does the bottom edge. Still, over all, I would rate the cover as near mint. The rice paper lined plastic inner sleeve is cut through by the record about 2" in the center at the bottom. This record will make a fine addition to your collection.
