Description
King Crimson - In The Wake of Poseidon LP - Pink Island, Textured G/F Sleeve
1970 jazz-prog classic with a gorgeous textured gatefold sleeve. This is the first issue, it's clean, unmarked and it's barely been played. But, the vinyl has a frustrating amount of surface noise. I cleaned it once and it helped a bit but there's still an unhealthy dose of crackle in this record which has a fair bit of quietness on it. Don't know what to suggest - if I was grading it visually it'd be EX+ however after playing it I can only call it VG. Maybe you've got a more effective cleaning method than my Moth with Keith Monks fluid. Maybe there was a reaction with the record and the inner sleeve - it's now in a nice new anti-static one - the vinyl doesn't show that rippling pattern you sometimes see with poly lined sleeves.
The sleeve is really, really nice; my pictures don't do it justice. There are very small amounts of corner wear that keep it EX otherwise I'd be tempted to say NM.
