RED

1974 Island recording

Pink Rim Palm Tree label format in NEAR MINT condition ! Only one or two very light spindle lines. Delicate flash residue still intact around the central hole.

Single jet black sleeve. Robor manufacture. Lamination absolutely perfect front/reverse covers.Sensational visual with nothing to fault. Corners sharp and pointed !! NO edgewear !!! NO feathering on opening edge. So lightly handled , it is unbelievable. Beautiful clipped spine clearly displaying title. Stunning condition.

Inner sleeve near mint, patent and G B credits.

Vinyl

UNMARKED. Highly polished surfaces very similar to mint vinyl. Graded under ordinary conditions.

Audio

George Chkiantz engineered !! Outstanding craftmanship. A UK pressing and THE best audio you will ever hear from this magnificent release. Recorded at Olympic Studios,London, England on july, August 1974. Opens with near silent grooves…What a dream…mellotron tones heard with such delicacy…the C R Y S T A L channels delivering the music like no other. Absolutely breath taking sounds delivered with an awesome clarity with NO hisses, NO pops and no surface disturbances. What a rarity is this !!Best you could possibly hear from a vintage classic. NEAR mint aural delivery with very little to fault. Fripp’s guitar and mellotron come through with crystal clarity, delivered with a finite precision seldom heard from this album, as most were heavily played resulting in massive surface damage and groove wear. Percussion, bass and vocals MUST be heard as the tones are delivered with a warm punch and yet ,a sharp definition. Never heard a better audio than this.

What more can I say ?

Absolutely AWESOME .

A truly stunning example of one of Crimsons best albums.
