Description

King Curtis on New Jazz 8237

This is the original deep-groove RVG-stamped mono pressing of King Curtis “The New Scene” on the purple and silver labels of New Jazz NJLP 8237.  Other than an inaudible scuff at the beginning of Side B the playing surface is in near-new condition, with a high luster; perhaps played once.  The laminated cover is bright and clean throughout; the back slick has a light moisture discoloration on the bottom and a small purple mark near the top right corner.

Personnel include Nat Adderley, Wynton Kelly, Paul Chambers, and Oliver Jackson.
