ELVIS "King" Presley, Jerry Lee "Killer" Lewis, Carl "Mr. Rock-A-Billy" Perkins and Johnny "Man In Black" Cash!
Pressed on "S Recordings", one of the few authorized, non-RCA labels ever to release any ELVIS material in Germany. This 2-LP deluxe set represents the first and original legitimate release of this "Million Dollar Quartet" jam session & in studio quality, direct from the Master tape! Cover features distinctive "dollar bill" layout, with gatefold featuring Memphis press seminar articles and pictures. Johnny Cash's name was omitted from the cover due to speculation of his absence from the jam session, due to the difficulty hearing his voice. However, the Man in Black himself confirmed that he participated in the entire jam, and due to standing at the far end of the piano(as depicted in a All pics from the jam), was simply 'off-mic'. To the best of ERR's knowledge, this is the only MDQ release that omitted the Man in Black's name!
Although booted numerous times, & included in "Bootleg Elvis", this was the First Legitimate release issued in 1986, through the renowned Rock-A-Billy distributor 'BEAR RECORDS'.
