Please read the Item Description through carefully before deciding to purchase this item. I recommend you pay particular attention to the P&P/ Shipping section & the Condition section.

Here is the original 30 track UK Double LP/ Album King Tubby’s Special 1973-1976 by King Tubby, The Observer Allstars And The Aggrovators from 1989. Housed in a gatefold sleeve & released on Trojan Records, the Catalogue Number is TRLD 1409. The records are housed within clear plastic inner sleeves. The track listing is Rebel Dance, Casanova Dub, Silver Bullet, Rasta Locks, Dubbing With The Observer, Sir Nineys Rock, Jam Down, Parade Dub, Youth Man, Turntable Dub, Corn Man, Mister D. Brown Skank & Rema Dub by The Observer Allstars AS WELL AS King Tubby’s Special/ U-Roy, Another Version, Straight To Brad’s Head From New York, Dancing Version, Straight To Trojan Head, Straight To The Boy Niney Head, Gorgon Speaks Version, I Trim The Barber, More Warning, A Rougher Version, Straight To Babylon Boy’s Head, Straight To The Capitalist Head, Cool Down Version, A Better Version, A Serious Version, Crisp Version & King Tubby’s Special (reprise)/ U-Roy by The Aggrovators. I assume the package was made in England for UK release, as that’s where the records were made. This is the First Pressing that shows the original design that had small faint titles on the front sleeve. In order to make the titles more prominent, the design was then changed for Second Pressings. It was therefore decided to make the writing larger & place it within brown boxes, so that it would stand out for buyers. PLEASE NOTE: In order to show as much detail as possible, some pictures have been merged together to create single images (e.g. views of records in inner sleeves, views of records out of inner sleeves, views of labels & matrix numbers from all sides).

Record 1, Side 1 Matrix: TRLD-409-A1 (6 o’clock)     ADRENALIN (12 o’clock)

Record 1, Side 2 Matrix: TRLD-409-B1 (6 o’clock)     ADRENALIN (12 o’clock)

Record 2, Side 1 Matrix: TRLD-409-C1 (6 o’clock)     ADRENALIN (12 o’clock)

Record 2, Side 2 Matrix: TRLD-409-D1 (6 o’clock)     ADRENALIN (12 o’clock)

I believe this information (as well as the sleeve design) indicates that it comes from the First Pressing run. The Matrix Numbers are described using a clock face. The first part is the main body of the Matrix Number. It will be at 6 o’clock if it is located in front of the label with the writing curving away from me at the ends (as I look) and at 12 o’clock if it is located behind the label with the writing curving towards me at the ends (as I look). Other times give a rough idea of where additional parts of the Matrix Number are located, in relation to the main part. It’s not meant to be foolproof, just to give an idea of where the various parts of the matrix are, in relation to each other.

Condition as follows including photographs: The sleeve is in excellent/ excellent plus condition. There is slight wear to the top edges of the sleeve, stopping short of a split. The inner sleeves are in excellent condition. The Vinyl is in excellent plus condition. All four sides play through well, with no jumping, skipping or sticking. The overall sound is excellent, or better. There is occasional slight surface noise intermittently throughout, mostly in quieter passages & between tracks. It is maybe slightly more noticeable around the start of Side Two. I don’t think the surface noise is invasive & so would not expect it to affect your listening pleasure. I always expect some sound from records of this age & condition. See below for NOTES ON CONDITION*.

*NOTES ON CONDITION: I grade according to the Record Collector Rare Record Price Guide & will not necessarily list all individual points in the written description. There will be a blanket grade for each component (sleeve, record etc), which smaller factors fall into. The general appearance will be clearly visible in the photographs. Please study the photographs in detail as they form the bulk of the description. Please be aware that play grading is based on my interpretation of what I hear on my system only. Although it is an honest assessment, it does not automatically follow that you would reach the same conclusion when listening on your own system, as there are so many variables. I DON’T use Record Collector Rare Record Price Guide categories when play grading, just my own judgement.

You shouldn’t have any problems with the transaction but please contact me first if you do.
