PLEASE READ MY DESCRIPTION CAREFULLY

CAT NO:  2310 130 Super

PRESSING DETAILS:  UK 1st Press (A//1 &  B//1) stamped.

SLEEVE: (VG-) Original UK 1st press gatefold sleeve printed and made by E.J.Day Group has general light/mild wear and discolouration from use and storage. Some edge scuffing and scuffing to the word 'Kingdom Come' on the spine but rest of the text is clearly readable. Inside is much cleaner. No writing no rips.

INNER SLEEVE: (VG) Original 'Headhunters' paper polylined paper inner has no side splits and general light wear from storage. There is some writing on one side ' The Leys Letchwood 1971' & 'Barnfield College Luton 9th June 1972'. These were in fact tour dates for Kingdom Come (Arthur Brown). The 'Letchwood 1971' was on November 13th 1971. Not your usual scribbles or previous owners name but some related info. Some fading to the top right corner on the text side.

RECORD LABELS: (Near Mint) Both sides are very clean with only a couple of light spindle marks to both sides when angled under bright light.

VINYL CONDITION VISUALLY: (EX+) Vinyl is flat and glossy and when angled under bright light there are virtually no visible marks. A couple of light hairlines and maybe a couple of paper scuffs but you have to look hard to see them! Some of the grooves look a little dusty so would probably benefit from a professional machine clean. Barely played - rare to find like this!

OVERALL PLAYING GRADE: Side 1 (EX-) Side 2 (EX) Both sides play superb with light background crackle /static noticeable in places during the gaps and quieter parts of the music (more on side 2). The louder majority of both sides play Near Mint. A couple of isolated light pops on side 2. The only issue with this record is a few bars into the drum beat of 'Metal Monster' before the singing starts there is a moment for about 4 revolutions that the beat stutters and skips almost sounding like it is slowing down but is stays on beat and is the most bizarre thing I have ever heard on a vinyl. It might be a slight pressing fault but I cannot see any reason why it would do this. I have tried different needles and stylus but it does the same thing. I have been told that this is an intentional pressing feature that is supposed to be there but I can't validate this. Therefore I have given side 1 (EX-) because of this - if this fault/feature wasn't there I would easily grade EX+. The sound quality is amazing - far superior to any CD remaster or re-press with real warmth and detail. A stunning looking and superb playing rare original UK 1st press Kingdom Come record not to be missed!

Strict grading using Record Collector grading system.  All records are play tested on a Technics SL-1210 MK2 record player with a Shure White Label Cartridge and Stylus. All records are sent in correct record mailers or cruciform box with at least 4 cardboard stiffeners and the vinyl removed for the the original inner and put in a new polylined inner sleeve outside of the cover to make sure no splits happen during delivery. All vinyl is sent tracked and signed for.

RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING

All records are graded using the Record Collector Grading System with (+) or (-) to show a slightly higher or lower grade.

M (Mint) : The Record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.

EX (Excellent): The Record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VG (Very Good) : The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

G (Good) : The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

F (Fair) : The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
