Superb condition copy of their immensely scarce second album. The last copy sold on Ebay went for £145 (check popsike.com), so get clicking...

Overall Sleeve Condition : EXCELLENT (NEAR MINT).

Front cover:   The sleeve looks great, with bright, unfaded colours. Very light ring wear can be seen when viewed under a bright light at an angle.

Rear cover:   Very light ringwear top and bottom, and a few tiny creases.

Edges/Corners/Opening Slit:  No tears, no seam splits. Very light rubs to three corners.

Vinyl Condition, Visual: MINT

Superb, glossy and new looking, does not look worn or seem to have had heavy play, kept in a polylined inner sleeve. Two tiny marks from the record has being removed from the inner sleeve. 

Vinyl Condition, Audible: MINT

No skips, no jumps, no static crackle, no dust crackles, no sign of  any play, no wear. Plays superbly. The two marks mentioned above are inaudible. Well preserved and cared for, no decrease from the original sound quality. Kept in stunning condition by the previous owner.

Kingdom Come's second, self-titled album is the most lighthearted of their three long-players, which isn't saying much; even Kingdom Come at their lightest were hardly jolly. But there are undeniably less heavy, gothic progressive metal tendencies at work here, and more of a sense of playfulness. All told, though, it could — like the other Kingdom Come releases — hardly be considered commercial, and certainly be considered at least a little chaotic, indeed sometimes very chaotic. The mood varies from quasi-music hall ("The Teacher") and low comedy ("A Scientific Experiment Featuring 'Lower Colonic Irrigation'," in which Arthur Brown sounds as if he's eager to quite literally defecate over his brief run at rock stardom) to pompously melodic progressive rock ("The Whirlpoool"), quasi-classical ritual ("The Hymn," "City Melody"), and rather soothing jazzy operatic crooning. It's unpredictably broken up by Frank Zappa-esque audio vérité collage and some quite virtuosic guitar and keyboard riffing that wouldn't sound too out of place on a Yes record. It's fairly intriguing in a way, like being transported to an alternate universe where nothing but weird prog-avant-rock stuff comes out of the car radio when you spin the dial.

UK Record Collector Grading System:

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in the sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (US version of this term: Near Mint): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in the sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (US version of this term: VG++): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover, or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (US version of this term: VG): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits etc.
