You are bidding on an rare original US Reprise promotional  package of the Kinks - Arthur LP released by Reprise Records in 1969.  This is RS 6366. Original Reprise US pressing of the album with the orange/brown Reprise record labels! While apparently some the promotional package copies of the record came with white promo labels, this promo package has the original stock copy labels with no promo stamp on the jacket or elsewhere. The record comes with the original Victoria pull out lyrics sheet (see picture) and has the original Reprise company inner record sleeve. The album comes in a special custom Kinks pocket folder and has all of the special material that came with the promotional package, which includes: a 4 page bio from Reprise Records, 2 black and white 8" x 10" glossy band photos, a promo letter from Warner Bros.-Seven Arts, an 11" x 17" folded insert of the Rolling Stone review from June 14, 1969 of the Village Green Society album, an insert with an excerpt from the Nick Cohn book "Rock from the Beginning"on Ray Davies, an insert of an article by rock critic Robert Christagau from the Village Voice entitled "Kinks Kountry", and a Consumer's Guide to the Kinks insert. The record is in nice NM condition. The labels are in NM condition. The actual album gatefold jacket is in VG+ condition with light shelfwear, edgewear, and ringwear. The special Kinks pocket folder is in VG condition with some shelfwear and edgewear. The Vitoria pull out insert is in VG+ condition with light wear. All of the special promotional inserts and photos are in NM condition. Overall, a  nice original package and sure to please any Kinks super fan!

We visually grade all of our records for sale and grade both the record and the jacket. We go by general standards for grading, which are:

Mint (M) - an unplayed, new copy of a record. no visual defects!

Near Mint (NM) - a nearly perfect record that has usually only been played 1-3 times, in "like new" condition.

Very Good + (VG+) - record still in excellent condition but has minor signs of wear such as surface scuffs/light scratches that don't affect the play. jacket has minor signs of wear such as light ringwear, edgewear, shelfwear, and/or light creasing.

Very Good (VG) - record has more wear than VG+ and may have some slight surface noise, light pops, some scuffs or scratches.  generally still a great playing copy.  jacket may have more wear, writing, sticker residue, punch out/cut out holes or corners.

Very Good - (VG-) - record has noticeable groove wear, surface noise, scratches, and/or scuffs but still a decent playing copy. jacket has heavier wear and may have a small split seam.

Good + and Good (G+ and G) - record still plays without skipping but has considerable amounts of groove wear, surface noise, scuffs, and/or scratches.  jacket has alot of wear and some defects such as split seams, heavy creasing, writing, marks, sticker residue, etc...
