Disc
Labels: NEAR MINT
An exceptional set with no more than two or three barely visible spindle trails around each totally unworn centre hole.
Visual: EXCELLENT
Superb deep-gloss playing surface which retain all of their 'as new' shine with no dulling or clouding from overplay or poor storage conditions. There are a small handful non-feelable surface marks on each side but certainly no scratches or any other significant visual blemisihes. Close inspection directly beneath my unforgiving, powerful halogen desk lamp reveals little more than a small number of harmless wispy paper hairlines but again, nothing major. Both sides of this quality, heavy disc lie 100% flat on the turntable when playing.
Sound Quality: NEAR MINT
This wonderful true mono mix is presented here in outstanding unworn sound quality. Played just a few times on top-quality equipment, my single careful play-check at volume could find no trace of any grove/playwear distortion on any track or in either channel. The sound quality is perfectly clean, warm & clear throughout with just a hint of light background between tracks but no clicks, pops or any other such distraction. Tough to find a better sounding original copy.
Cover: VERY GOOD +
This notoriously fragile cover has survived the past 45 years in respectable shape with only light storage/handling wear and no major faults. The delicate front leaf is clean with just a touch of wear to the exposed edges and a few spine wrinkles. The rear panel too has a few light bends and there is a small (1cm) tear to the lower right corner where it meets the spine. Inside is perfectly clean & unworn with just a small split to the lower end of the centre hinge. Both seams are unstressed and unsplit and the spine is clean & fully worded.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT
Clean & flat with minor storage wrinkles but no writing, tears or seam splits.
