Description
Kirsten Flagstad, Set Svanholm – UORC 123: WAGNER Siegfried E
Four discs in E condition, plain LP cover, no notes, no libretto. Wilhelm Furtwanger conducts this 1950 performance featuring Kirsten Flagstad, Set Svanholm, Elisabeth Hoengen, Ludwig Weber, Josef Hermann, Hans Markwort, Alois Pernerstorfer.
The privately issued recordings on this label are often of live performances, with all the ambient noises, electronic feedback and acoustic issues one would not encounter in a studio recording. What is found are some rare and at times exciting performances.
