Kiss Alive II-RARE ERROR COVER-1977-Casablanca

For your careful consideration, dears, this WAY-rare error cover version of Kiss' mega-watt SUPER-huge 1977 release 'Alive II'...

This 4-record set of fabulousness consists of 3 live and 1 studio sides. One of the FIRST oddities about these records is that as far as standard Kiss fare goes, this isn't. For instance, 'Rocket Ride' is the only song that Ace appears on; also, 'Hard Luck Woman' and 'Tomorrow and Tonight' are listed as live cuts when in fact they were cut in the studio.

The Oddity of All Oddities, though, about this album is that thing which makes it allegedly the most rare of all U.S. Kiss releases, and that is that reportedly less than 50 copies like this very one were released which erroneously list 3 songs on the cover that are not on ANY vinyl copies at ALL. The track order on this error-cover copy I'm offering you is how the studios first wanted to release this set, but it was decided that the quality of the records would not be up to par due to there being more grooves on each side, so these 3 cuts-'Hooligan', 'Do You Love Me' and 'Take Me'-were ditched. Other than the back cover of this album, it is exactly the same as the regular-cover Kiss Alive II.

Songs LISTED as being on this LP are as follows:

Side 1) Detroit Rock City, Take Me, Ladies Room, King of the Night Time World, Makin' Love, Love Gun.

Side 2) Calling Dr. Love, Christine Sixteen, Hard Luck Woman, Shock Me, Hooligan, Tomorrow and Tonight

Side 3) I Stole Your Love, God of Thunder, Do You Love Me, I Want You, Beth, Shout It Out Loud

Side 4) All American Man, Rockin' In The USA, Larger Than Life, Rocket Ride, Any Way You Want It.

***Just reminding you here that 'Hooligan', 'Do You Love Me' and 'Take Me' are NOT actually on this album!!

I would say the condition of this album cover is very good. There is some fraying along the edges and the spine, but it is untorn. The right bottom corner is cut off. There is ringwear present on the front, back and inside but I would call this average-you can SEE it, but it doesn't just jump right out at you! I see some very SMALL indentations (looks like they were made with a pen) on the inside as well-1 on the left, app. 1" diameter; 3 on the right-app. 1/4", 1/2" and 1" respectively..I had to really LOOK for these, too. The color on this album cover is VERY good-there's only a small amount of fading on the front where the ringwear is. Also, there's GOBS of gloss. The color paper innersleeves are intact; several of the edges are separating, there is some ringwear showing on all 4 sides (again, it's truly not bad-not the very first thing you see), but the color is still AWESOME and the gloss is still GREAT!! Also, these innersleeves are mostly flat-they're bent just a bit (app. 1" each) at a couple of the corners & there's some very light creasing, but the sleeves as a whole are mostly flat.

The vinyl on all four sides of these records is just GORGEOUS, ya'll. I seriously see only ONE very, very slight scuff on each side. This is a BEAUTIFUL record set.

This album has been kept in a protective plastic cover.

Thank you SO MUCH for taking the time to look at my eBay things!! I APPRECIATE YOU!!

If you have ANY other questions at ALL, please feel free to ask me!!!

GOOD LUCK BIDDING and most of all...HAVE FUN!!
