Description
Columbia SAX 2348 original label blue & silver recording of music by Wagner played by The Philharmonia Orchestra conducted by Otto Klemperer. Contains the Prelude to Lohengrin Act 3, music from Die Meistersinger von Nurmberg, Tristan und Isolde and Gotterdammerung (Seigfried's funeral music).
Recording dated 1960.
This record is part of my personal collection. The cover is in good condition having minor shelf wear and a few minor creases. The condition of the record itself is excellent - there are faint scuffs visible under strong light - no scratches. The spindle hole suggests only very occasional playing. I would expect the surface noise of this record to be minimal. Hence the realistic starting price for this now rare stereo record. The original inner sleeve shown is also included.
I have been collecting classical records for many years and have decided to sell most of them - I now listen primarily to CDs. I have a large number of Decca SXL WBG, EMI W&G ASD and Columbia B&S SAX LPs that I will list when I get time - some very rare. I am not a record dealer.
I will be pleased to combine multiple wins to save on postage.
Good luck.
