Description

An original 1st press of Autobahn on the UK Vertigo label from 1974. Matrix 1/1. Etching "Bilbo". The vinyl comes housed in an original 1st issue Robor printed embossed cover. 
Vinyl (Ex) A lovely copy that has only seen light use. Under close inspection I could only make out a couple of light marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are very nice and quiet and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. You need a really clean copy for this ambient style of music...and this copy does not disappoint. Clean and precise audio that renders all those super low-key tinkering flute-like parts superbly! Interference is very minor and infrequent. All I could really make out was the occasional bit of super-light static in a couple of isolated moments per side. It is possible to go slightly cleaner [I have another copy live at the moment which does just that], but for most folk I think this copy will be sufficiently impressive to meet most folks demands.
Cover (Ex-) Often found looking a bit shabby by this stage in the day. This example, however, looks to have been cared for down the years. Very nice clean and unworn cover which doesn't appear to have been affected by the usual ageing process. Both front and rear are in impressive condition with only light evidence of handling - just a couple of foxing spots down at the foot of the rear that's all. Edge wear is light and the openings still sharp. The spine seems mostly intact with all text legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
