Wakin On A Pretty Daze is a timeless 69-minute double album, a masterpiece that's as captivating today as it would've been 30 years ago. John Agnello's production captures the intimate, dreamy, and often sardonic moments as Vile's guitar lines weave through the album's sprawling, hazy atmosphere. Opening track "Wakin On A Pretty Day," a 9-minute journey, is full of charm and was even adapted into a music video directed by Jonathan Demme, echoing his iconic 'Streets Of Philadelphia' video. Another homage to Vile's hometown of Philadelphia is Steve Powers' (ESPO) cover mural, painted on an abandoned building in Northern Liberties.
