Artist: La Familia Inc, featuring Johnny Hernandez.
Record label: BSR Records, Temple, Texas...recorded in Dallas, Texas, and produced by Joe D. Hernandez (Little Joe).
Song titles: Side 1: DO YOU LOVE ME?; Side 2: EXIGENCY.
Grade: Labels: NM- due to a very little bit of loss of black on both labels, and a "5" that is written on side 1 at 5:00 (barely visible), vinyl: NM- due to a few very minor and superficial rub marks and scratches, sound: NM, with the very slightest of background noise at the intro of both tunes, but once the music starts, all you hear is Johnny singing his heart out, and one incredibly talented group of musicians backing him up...superb horn arrangement on DO YOU LOVE ME?, which is the Northern Soul tune on this 45!
Comments: Here's a mega rare Northern Soul 45 for you in excellent condition! DO YOU LOVE ME? is an awesome NORTHERN SOUL tune, and EXIGENCY is a slow tune with a unique arrangement and lyrics. This killer 45 is listed on the TEXAS SOUL RECORDINGS website under the labels Buena Suerte Records/BSR. If you'll go to www.popsike.com, and search La Familia, Inc, you'll see that very few copies of this rare 45 have sold over the years. You can also go to www.soul-source.co.uk, and if you are a member, you can listen to a clip of it. You will find a number of posts that discuss this 45 on the Internet...mostly from the UK. The last copy of this 45 that sold on ebay was in March 2010...that's how rare it is!
