Scarce original 1973 France Pathe LP, 2C 066 - 12.698.

On the whole the vinyl is a solid EX, little played with no more than a very few superficial non-sounding scuffs. However, approx. half of the first side has a milky film type patina (side two is not affected). Unfortunately the disc had been in storage for a while in a heavy duty PVC sleeve. I immediately ditched the sleeve, as it has come to light that over time these sleeves can form a patina to develop on vinyl, and if left too long it can render the vinyl unplayable.
Thankfully it has not become too bad with this pressing. The first side does play with a backdrop of very low level crackle. However this is only really noticeable at separator bands and quieter spots and is not a hindrance to listening pleasure. Aside from this this the LP plays superbly cleanly with no noticeable background noise.
Labels are clean and unmarked.
The one saving grace of the heavy duty poly sleeve is that the sleeve has been very well preserved and is a very solid EX plus. Colours are crisp and bold with no fading or sunning. There are no hairline scuffs, impressions etc. There is just some minor peripheral pinchline creasing. Spine is in good shape.
