Funk/Rare Groove Side 1. Fantastic Voyage Side 2. Your Wish Is My Command

Fantastic Voyage stands as a defining moment in Lakeside's career and a high point of the Solar Records era. The iconic title track from the American funk band, best known for their 1980 number one r&b hit from which this album takes its name, was a chart topper that remains a funk classic, driven by deep bass, a punchy groove and gritty, unforgettable vocals that still ignite dancefloors today. 'Your Love Is On The One' adds more of that signature Solar polish, while 'I Need You' and 'Say Yes' showcase the band's smooth, soulful side. The remaining cuts round out the album with solid, groove-led funk. Overall, Fantastic Voyage is a strong, enjoyable listen and an essential entry point for anyone exploring late 70s and early 80s funk.
