CRONACHE DAL MONDO - ITALIAN LIBRARY Lp music by LAMARTINE aka ODOARDO RADICCHI. Original Italian promo pressing on RCA SP label (SP 1052), from 1974. Spellbinding and unusual example of Italian Library electronica. A mini masterpiece of strange / wonky / exotic and alien moods by this little known composer. Futuristic and obsessive explorations into the imaginary world of Lamartine with a fantasy sci fi feel throughout. Every theme is surreal and psychedelic with an oddball techno / middle-eastern / oriental / underwater / child-like undercurrent. Fabulous use of primitive drum machines and synthesizers with odd time signatures. Early dub techniques / echo delays / repetitive electronic rhythms / tape manipulation and collage / layered overdubs etc. Stoned and creative music with a supernatural / lunar / mechanical / arcane / spooky dream-like ambience too. Maverick lounge that will definitely appeal to the Andy Votel / Sean Canty / Demdike Stare lover. Certain themes on Cronache Dal Mondo are similar to the previously unreleased Reportage recordings of Radicchi recently brought to life from the original tapes by Finders Keepers ;) Our sounclip opens with CONVEGNO DI SCEICCHI followed by SKYLAB / TAVOLOZZA / DRAMMA IN MEDIO ORIENTE then other important themes :) Vintage electronic music with beats for DJs. The whole Lp will no doubt sound mad to the uninitiated but it is actually quite ambient and hallucinogenic. Radicchi also recorded Mondo Infantile aka Childish World for the Cam cml Library series. Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG 

Vinyl is closer to shiny M- condition overall regardless of a few hairlines / faint scuffs from sleeve removal and a section of faint machine generated scuff marks (from the original pressing process) to "Dramma In Medio Oriente" theme. Light surface noises. A few soft pops / soft ticks in places (as you can hear on our soundclip). Superb production sound. Item looks barely played. The soft card sleeve is closer to M- condition overall and still retains most of its original shrinkwrap. Crease line above front bottom spine side corner area / dent to bottom right corner at open side and a dink / crush - bit of wear to the top right corner area. A few tears in the shrinkwrap to back sleeve. Sharp looking item. Camera flash glare to sleeve and label photo. Rare Library Lp!!!
