Lanzon & Husband : Nostalgia A1/B1 1st Press
This rare first pressing plays to a superb standard with only minimal interference on S1 i.e. very very minimal! The clarity, depth and power of the audio is stunning and it is patently obvious this vinyl has hardly been played. It is visually stunning and has been so well preserved down the years.
The same applies to the cover which remains in great condition also with very little wear and certainly nothing obvious. The original inner is also very clean with no splits.
As can be seen from the run offs this vinyl was 'cut' by arguably the most famous mastering engineer of them all George 'Porky' Peckham. His 'cuts' are always very collectable.

Visual grading
The vinyl is in lovely condition with an immaculate glossy sheen and no scratches. There are a couple of very small faint marks that have no affect on the audio but I cannot locate any hairlines at all. The labels are pristine with no marking or writing and no spindle wear.
Play grading
The piano intro on 'Communication Hangup' plays beautifully with no intrusion and continues to play with great clarity and depth to the very end. There is no 'background' and only a handful of barely audible dust ticks. A Mint start to the album.
'Ecstasy Express' plays to the same exact standard with no interference. 'As new' describes it perfectly and Mint is again deserved.
The intro on 'Do You Still Love Me' is so close to perfect with only 4/5 very light ticks and they hardly warrant a mention as they are so incredibly quiet! I just prefer to 100% complete in my grading. It then plays with stunning quality with crystal clear audio. A couple of ticks at the end of the fade out. A Near Mint intro and Mint- from then onwards.
'Silly People' continues this fine form and plays with remarkable precision throughout. A couple of very light static ticks on the intro and from that point on the audio is so 'clean' with no distortion. It's hard to believe this album this album is 47 years old this year! The clarity, depth and warmth of the audio is second to none. Mint-
The quiet intro on 'Westminster Bridge' plays perfectly and the opening vocal is equally as good. It progresses in the same way and remember there are a number of very quiet sections during this track. If I was being super critical you could say there are a handful of dust ticks but they are so quiet and totally non-intrusive, they are just what you expect to find on vinyl. This is easily a Mint- version and perhaps even the minus is a little harsh!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
'Ghetto' plays with superb audio from the get go! The powerful intro is 'as new' and this sonic quality is maintained throughout with no sign of any interference. A great track this one and the audio again has such depth and resonance to it. Pure Mint audio from start to finish.
The 'madrigal' 'Rain And Wind' plays very clearly with only a few very quiet background ticks on the intro. From then on it plays extremely well with just the odd light static tick and a couple that are a little louder. Don't get me wrong this still plays with very impressive clarity it's just not quite as stunning as the other tracks! Ex+
The intro on 'Love So Divine' plays to perfection and the opening vocal has only a couple of very light ticks. It continues to play with tremendous sonic quality with no interference, I cannot praise it highly enough. A stunning version that has to grade as Mint-
The brass intro on 'Lose Your Pride' plays with great clarity with only a couple of insignificant light ticks. The first vocal is 'as new' and it continues to impress on so many levels. Admittedly there are a couple of light clicks during the mid instrumental but that is the only intrusion on the audio. I will grade as Ex+ but of course the vast majority is much better than that.
'By The Time You Get This Message' plays with stunning clarity from the very first note and there is no drop in quality as it progresses. This truly is a fantastic version - a quiet track and yet the playback cannot be faulted. There are no ticks, clicks or pops and no background static either. Each note has a clarity of sound that is so impressive and Mint is an easy grade to give. What a version, absolutely STUNNING!
In summary this relatively rare first pressing plays with sublime quality on both sides. There is only minimal 'background' on a couple of tracks but they still play with great quality overall. The clarity, definition and warmth of the audio is something you only find on vinyl and the vast majority of this record is 'as new' without a doubt. Together with a super clean cover this will impress any collector.
The Cover & Inner Sleeve
The cover is in superb condition with barely any shelf wear. The edges and wide spine are in great shape and even the corners are extremely clean with hardly any rubbing/wear. The opening edge is also pristine. The front cover is near perfect with only a minor touch of ringwear near the top, one small 'spot' top left and a faint scratch line near the bottom edge. The back cover is just as impressive with only minor ringwear again near the top and a few minor 'specks'. This cover of course is not laminated which shows just how carefully it has been looked after down the years.
The original die-cut inner is in great condition with only some light creasing.
