Description

This is the last time I'll list this record. I'll sell it locally, if it doesn't sell here. Aladdin 708 Illinois Jacquet 10" LP 33 1/3 rpm. The record condition is between VG+ and VG. There is some visible grayness in the grooves. There is slight distortion in the loudest passages. There are alot of loud passages but it detracted very little from the listening experience. (I am picky when it comes to distortion and it didn't bother me.) There are several noticable scratches but I did not hear any "tics" beyond the usual MILD "tics", here and there. No repeating scratches. I listened to the entire LP with head phones and I have piano tuner ears so I was surprised, because a few of the scratches are quite visible. The cover is darker than when it was new. The photograph of the cover is lighter than it actually appears. (It's darker.) It is closer to the color as seen in the photos of the back cover. If you look at a photo of the back cover, you will notice that the front cover wraps around to the edges of the back cover. This is closer to the true color. Also, the color of the front cover is darker at the top and edges but they blend together well. There is NOT a noticable line at the top of the actual cover, as is shown in the photograph. That is a shadow. There is a sticker on the cover that was originally used by the record store to seal the LP. (It says "ictor" on it, as in "RCA Victor".) I didn't remove it with lighter fluid or Goo Gone. (That would probably work well but I'll leave it for you. There is a sticker in the same place on the back cover too.) This is still a nice cover. The labels are almost new. The label on side B has a little of the blue color coming through the silver lettering sometimes. That's the way it was manufactured. You've seen it a hundred times before. It also has some scuffing around the inner circle (The ring above "Long Play Microgroove") that is visible in the photograph. There are also a couple of white dots around the middle hole. I have tried to be conservative (probably too conservative) in my description because I value my 100% positive rating. I have sold records for 35 years. Disregard all of the information (boxes) that Ebay has supplied, including shipping and refund. All pertinent information will be in this text. The LP will be shipped within two days of receiving payment. PAYPAL ONLY. Do not send payment until notified. I will contact you on the day after the action ends, if not sooner. Shipping in the US first class is $10. Shipping airmail overseas is $15. You pay any extras, such as insurance. The LP will be packed very securely, as my feedback attests. The record will be in a plastic sleeve and the cover will be in another plastic sleeve. A piece of cardboard will be between the two, and two pieces of cardboard will be around both. They will be placed in a box with paper towels to prevent the LP from moving around. Refund policy is seven days postmark after arriving. Only the money that was bid on the record will be refunded. I aim to please! Thank you very much.
