Charlie Hicks was the brother of Robert Hicks (Barbecue Bob). Both brothers learned guitar from the mother of Curley Weaver and played in the Atlanta area in the late 20's. Often refered to as Charlie Lincoln, he appears here as a solo with his own guitar. recorded 1927.
Record has a few surface lams which play with a slight tic. Lots of surface shine. Has a small scratch on the "B" side label (see scans). A cleaner than average copy! Conservatively graded V+.
