Description

I'm going to be auctioning off a great collection of 78 rpm Blues and Jazz records in the next weeks.  Most records are in near mint condition.  If this auction interests you, Check out my other items, because there is bound to be something else you might like. (I have another Lightnin' Hopkins Gold Star Blues 78 posted)  I can combine shipping.  Also let me know if you want to make a deal.  I'm pretty flexible.

Up for sale here is a 78 rpm record from the L.C. Williams - Gold Star 667

L.C.Williams
You can take it with you baby
Strike Blues

Condition - Graded visually
Excellent to Near Mint - This record is in beautiful condition, almost new

**Since I have been receiving questions about this one, I will add some more info**
L.C. Williams (1924-1960) was a blues artist, songwriter and frequent collaborator with Sam Lightnin' Hopkins
Apparently no photos of him exist
The title track for this 78 should be called "You can't take it with you baby" (Instead of can)
I don't know if this pressing was an error, or if all versions had the title printed incorrectly (probably the latter, as this was a small independent label)

This website will let you hear samples of both tracks on the 78, and a bunch of other L.C. Williams songs

I can't be 100% certain that these recordings are the same versions on the 78 record (but I think they are)
and I can't be sure that the 78 features Lightnin' Hopkins playing instruments (I think it does)

Here you can read more about Gold Star Records and the early Houston Blues scene.
