Description
For auction, here is: Leaf Hound - Growers of Mushroom. Label is Decca. Cat. # is SKL-R5094. Manufactured in England. This is an original UK pressing from 1971.
SLEEVE.....The edges are sharp. Spine is great. The front has only a few creases to lamination in the top area.
The rear is unlaminated and has only a few tiny creases to top area and only VERY feint ringwear to the lower area (somewhat miraculous).
Grade sleeve as EX for sure.
LABELS.....There is NO unwanted writing, stickers, residue or tears. This album has obviously always been handled with great care.
VINYL..... (Visual) When you hold this album in the very brightest of direct lights, there are what looks like many paper scuffs from going in and out of the sleeve, on both sides. Although only on the surface, these scuffs are more noticable than what one would normally see on a disc with paper scuffs/hairlines.
However, there are no other marks on the surface and definitely no scratches and they cannot be seen in normal room light (looks extremely glossy) so difficult to give a definite grade. I will have to say VG+ only.
VINYL..... (Play grade) I have played this album on my very sensitive and revealing "Rega Planar 2" and Elise cartridge and the sound is totally UN-WORN, it is full and VERY crisp there is NO loss of sound quality at all, wonderful sound stage and stereo separation. There are absolutely NO dust crackles that can be heard in the quiet parts of the music or between tracks. I will say that disc plays as M- without doubt. Quite staggering to be honest.
These original pressings are second to none.
I have some other prog and psych LP's for auction. Take a look if you wish.
Packed well with double protection on each side and corner protection as well. Disc will be placed outside sleeve so no splits possible.
DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE THE RARITY OF THIS ALBUM
EXTREMELY HARD TO FIND IN ANY CONDITION!
Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions.
GOOD LUCK bidding on this 7-day auction.
Overseas postage for this item will be approx. GBP6.80. Courier and other priority shipping and insurance available. Can discuss with winner.
PLEASE READ THIS PART ABOUT PAYMENTS: I accept Australian Postal Money Orders and direct deposit. I also accept Paypal. Regretably, I usually leave neg. feedback for non-payers...it's true. Thanking you, again.
PLEASE NOTE: I have had trouble with payers not paying or taking weeks to pay for won items over the years and still no payment from recent winning bidders of this current week. I have just informed the current high bidder on this item (gdmitchell62) who has zero feedback, that he/she will have to pay me in full within 48 hours of auction ending or I WILL relist item immediately after that time period expires.
In my experience, bidders with 0 or less than 5 positives have a habit of doing this, so if you want to bid on this nice Leaf Hound LP, that is my terms of business. I won't be given the "run-around" with payment, especially for an LP of this high calibre.
So if you have less than 5 points next to your username, and you don't like my abovementioned bidding terms, then it's quite simple - don't bid.
Now you have been informed.
