Description
LEATHERWOLF 1987 Self Titled US 1st Press Vinyl Record VG/VG+ Heavy Metal
Record Grade: VG(+) Sleeve Grade: VG(+)
Conservatively grading both the record and the jacket VG. The record has a few very light sleeve scuffs visible under bright light and a small mark between B1 and B2 that ticks lightly 5 times as B1 is ending. I could also hear some light surface noise during the quiet intro to A1. The record sounds great and loud and plays with occasional light surface noise audible during quieter passages and between tracks. It also has a light storage warp that does not affect play (i.e., the record doesn't lay perfectly flat on the table).
The cover has some areas around the corners that are worn to the cardboard and there's some light creasing, particularly along the spine and corners. I can also see the very beginning of light ring wear. There's also light edge/spine/shelf wear. Please see pictures.
Listing a lot of Heavy Metal this week. If you purchase more than one item from me, please wait for an invoice as I will combine shipping.
I grade LPs based on a conservative interpretation of the Goldmine standard. This means that a VG+ record is in very nice shape and should have little to no surface noise barring an occasional moment here and there. A record with sustained surface noise will be at best a VG. All records are play-graded since not all surface noise can be detected visually. All records are shipped in new Whiplash mailers with cardboard backing with the sleeved record outside of the jacket to prevent seam splits.
Below is more thorough info on my grading system:
NM: Surfaces essentially look new. This is the highest rating I give used records.
VG+: Very nice shape. May have a few stray very light hairlines and/or light paper scuffs visible under bright light. Will have little to no surface noise barring an occasional moment here and there. No feelable marks.
VG: Has hairlines and/or paper scuffs and has audible surface noise particularly between songs and during quieter passages.
G+: Has more pronounced hairlines and paper scuffs and may have a few small feelable marks, but still no skips.
