Description
This is a fine original U.S. pressing copy of the debut LP by LA-based group the Leaves, released in 1966. The group is remembered today for their top 40 hit version of "Hey Joe," a classic of the era that earned a spot on the epochal 1972 comp Nuggets. The hit is somewhat atypical of the rest of the LP, which is largely a folk-rock record, though the group does rock on a few other tracks ("Too Many People," their debut single, and covers of "Get Out of My Life, Woman" and "Tobacco Road"). The jacket is close to M- with some light staining on the back cover (EX+). Visually, the disc is clean with a little light scuffing. Track 1 on side 1 pops a couple of times, otherwise side 1 plays with some light surface noise. Side 2 plays close to M- with occasional light surface noise. Overall EX(-).
I’m in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their jackets. The jackets have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have play graded (spot checked) discs except where otherwise noted.
