I'm aware that few initial copies had TURQUOISE lettering on the cover and within a matter of weeks that was replaced with orange lettering. However I believe that in every other respect this example has all the characteristics of a first press of LED ZEPPELIN 1 :

This is a GENUINE classic , a great rarity and much sought after , especially a 1st press in such good condition .

* THE COVER : AS YOU CAN SEE IN THE PICTURES , THE COVER HAS SOME CREASING AND DISCOLORATION ALONG THE EDGES , A LITTLE LAMINATION SEPARATION , AND SOME FRAYING AROUND THE OPENING . HOWEVER ALL EDGES ARE INTACT AND THE SPINE IS READABLE . STILL A REASONABLY DISPLAYABLE EXAMPLE OF THE EXTREMELY RARE TURQUOISE COVER .
* THE VINYL : SURFACE SCRATCHES CONSISTENT WITH THE USE OF AN AUTOMATIC CHANGER , AS WELL AS SOME SLEEVE SCRATCHES .NO STICKS OR JUMPS , AND THE SOUND IS STILL QUITE POWERFUL , BUT PLAYBACK IS NOISY DESPITE A STANDARD CLEANING ON THE LORICAFT . ALSO COLIN FELT IT NECESSARY TO WRITE HIS NAME ON THE LABEL ON SIDE 1 , OTHERWISE THE LABELS LOOK NICE .
