Description
Led Zeppelin's first album released in 1969. First press of Orange title. The very first run of these had turquoise title and was very short-lived, and usually goes for over a grand (as you probably already know). Like the turquoise one, this is exactly the same, with the MacNeill Press laminated sleeve, the distinctive grey line across the bottom of the front cover, and the original Plum label with Warner credits and Polydor distribution, and corrected matrix on run-outs. Catalogue number is 588171 STEREO. Matrix is A//1, B//1.
This is a very nice copy. I've had it a number of years, and has rarely been played (by me). However, as i write, I'm listening to it now on my Project Debut turntable, and plays really well, sounds nice, big and bright, with a hint of a few crackles here and there, but nothing drastic. The sleeve is Very Good with just a few light creases with NO laminate lifting at all. I think the pictures do it justice, however, my camera isn't great..! You rarely see this edition in better condition, because of it's age. The text on the spine is very clear, spine has just the tiniest of creases and very sturdy. A Good clean sturdy sleeve. Also, I'm smoke-free
About me; I am a collector, but rarely sell records, I like keeping them. Looks like I'm new to eBay, but I'm not. Had to create new account, as my previous one got hacked along with my PayPal, so I started afresh. My Former username was 'Scrapyarddaz', not sure if it's possible to check me out or not.... However, I am honest and genuine. Reason for sale: I'm not the biggest Zeppelin fan, so not fussed about replacing this with a later more common edition.
This record will be packaged well and sent by registered post.
