ULTRA RARE "Led Zeppelin 2" LP with Livin Lovin Wreck Incredibly rare UK 1st pressing issued on 1st November 1969. This LP is on the Red/Maroon Atlantic label No. 588198 in Stereo. The matrix Nos. are
588198-A-2 & 588198-B–2 As a 1st pressing, the Side 1 label credits the "Lemon Song" to Page/Bonham/Plant/Jones. Indeed, the inside of the cover calls the track the “Lemon Song” – whereas for later pressings, the title was changed to Killing Floor”. This is an important feature but what makes it even more of a scarce item is the Side 2 feature. On Side 2, track 2 is called “Livin’ Lovin’ Wreck (She’s A Woman)” rather than “Livin’ Lovin’ Maid (She’s A Woman)” – which is what is should have been and what later copies were known as. Indeed, even the inside of the cover had this track listed as ‘Maid’ rather than ‘Wreck’ – so somebody in the manufacturing company made a bit of a blunder. The record comes in its original 1st issue pale brown E J Day gatefold cover with the "Atlantic 588 198" catalogue number on the spine and inside. The cover is really very good considering it is 36 years old – minor ringwear and needs a slight clean. The 588 198 number can be seen clearly on the spine. The inside of the gatefold is near perfect. There are no tears, writings or pen/pencil comments or disfiguring marks on the cover. The labels are MINT!. The vinyl itself retains a nice gloss. however there are lots of surface marks and mild scratches. There are inevitably minor pops/hisses and I could not therefore classify this record as MINT – probably 'very good' for its age. Only a few hundred of these were pressed before the labels/covers had to be changed. This is one of the rarest Led Zeppelin records you will ever find on ebay and, as such, it will probably go to a serious Led Zep collector who will cherish the record for its rarity value and not for its audio properties.
