LED ZEPPELIN 111 ON ATLANTIC RECORDS 2401002 in STEREO WITH THE VERY FIRST ISSUE LABEL.
EXTREMELY RARE RECORD, FIRST EVER PRESSING WHICH HAS "Produced by Jimmy Page. Executive Producer: Peter Grant" IN THE TOP ORANGE SECTION OF THE LABEL UNDER THE TITLE. ALL LATER ISSUES DID NOT REFER TO PETER GRANT AND JIMMY PAGE WAS TRANSFERRED TO THE BASE OF THE LABEL.
FIRST PRESSING MATRIX NUMBERS:
Side 1 : 2401002 A-5 "Do what thou wilt " all hand etched with numbers 1 2 1 .
Side 2 : 2401002 B-5 "So mote it be" hand etched with numbers 1 1 5

Another Outstanding Album by probably the greatest British Rock/blues Bands of the late sixties and 70's, Recorded and released in 1970, one of the greatest 70's "Rock " Albums of all time..
The record is in Very Good condition, please be aware that there are visible light surface marks/fine scratches on both sides, mostly only clearly seen under a very bright light. Record plays very well, please note that there is some light background noise clearly detectable on the quieter tracks and to the lead in where needle has dropped, and there is the occassional pop or click, which is normal on records that have been played and almost 40 years old!!. The Vinyl is thick, heavy late 60's vinyl, NOT the flimsy vinyl of the 70's!!The record is obviously NOT mint, but still a very good copy all the same.
The labels are both excellent. Both sides show only minimal signs of any spindle marking and there is no wear to the centre hole. (See photos.)
The Gatefold Sleeve is the Very First Issue with the ATLANTIC DELUXE text ( no reference numbers) on front of sleeve!
The Gatefold Sleeve is in VG+ condition. This is the Very First Issue fully laminated sleeve, made of thick card and double construction inner sleeve. There are No rips or tears on the sleeve, no unwanted stickers or price labels. Slight "aging"marks on rear and slight outline of record can be seen. All the outer edges are sharp and intact and in very good order with only minimal signs of edge wear. The spine is rigid and the text on the spine is intact, no wear to the spine edges and the base of the spine. The opening edges to the sleeve are reasonably sharp and crease free. The inner gatefold is very clean, fully laminated, no marks or writing. Fully working wheel. E. J. Day Group Bedford and London Sleeve. A great example of this rare classic record.
Record comes complete with the original polythene lined inner paper sleeve which has the warning "plastic bags can be dangerous" and is in very good condition. No tears or splits to seams, very tiny nick on base edge, poly lining intact, some aging around edges.
